Project Notes: The North Williams project is a seismic upgrade and tenant improvement for an un-reinforced concrete masonry building in Portland, Oregon.  Wood stud strong backs are employed to support existing masonry walls out –of-plane, in-plane lateral forces are resisted by new wood and masonry shear wall. Tenant improvements include an interior mezzanine addition and exterior roof deck dining area.
