CHARLESTON ROW

PORTLAND, OR

Project Name: Charleston Row

Architect: Brett Schulz Architect

Project Manager: Logan Miller

Project Engineer: Crystal Gonzalez

Project Notes: This project consists of a multi-family, 3-story building, comprised of both solid-sawn and premanufactured joists and beams.  The lateral system comprises of wood shearwalls even at the walls with the large openings provided for architectural appeal.  Some unique features of this building are the semi-circular front façade, and the angled columns that are both architectural and structural.  Helical piers were included in the design due to the close proximity of a drywell to the foundation.
